The Glowing Hearts Community Give and Get, Barrie
This short video focuses on Frank Nelson's desire to spread the 'Glowing Hearts Community Give and Get' across Canada.
The Glowing Hearts Community Give and Get centre is the brainchild of Frank Nelson, who saw a need for a place where people could donate what they no longer needed and others could take what they needed for themselves and their families. It is kind of like a swap meet with Frank and his volunteers in the middle to administer the transfer of goods, but with nobody keeping score of what is given or taken. All the staff ask is that they can count the items leaving the store so they can show accurate numbers to their sponsors and supporters.
During his speech to the Orillia campus of Georgian College, Frank Nelson noted the phenomenal return on investment of small grass roots charities, and how one dollar of donated goods can multiply exponentially to positively affect many people.
Five Points Media have produced several videos for Frank Nelson involving several of his charitable actions, and it is planned that this coming summer their producer, John Ironside, will be travelling with Frank from Charlottetown to Barrie, recording his efforts to raise money to launch Community Give and Get centres across Canada.
